Denver yoga calendar, week of August 5, 2019

You’ll find yoga in the park, yoga with puppies, the Wanderlust 108 Triathlon and much more in this week’s Denver yoga calendar.

Monday, August 5: Sign up your kids ages 6-10 for Kindness Kids Camp with Michelle and Nicole Saab today through Friday at Kindness Yoga Stanley Marketplace. Campers enjoy yoga, mindfulness practices, games, crafts, music and outside time. Half day and full day sessions are available.

Register your little ones ages 5-11 for Happy Hearts Summer Camp with Trinidad Heffron today through Friday at Karma Yoga Center. Campers participate in yoga, movement, songs, storytelling, skits, team play, crafts, and playtime in nature.

Tuesday, August 6: Dairy Block hosts Fit + Rock outdoor group exercise classes in the Alley, including free CorePower Yoga classes this and every Tuesday evening in August. Advanced registration is required.

Wednesday, August 7: Don’t miss your last chance to enjoy Yoga Junction’s Yoga in the Park tonight at Louisville’s Memory Square Park. A kids’ yoga class for ages 4+ is offered at the same time as the adult class.

If you’re new to yoga, start with John Espinosa’s Yoga 101 Beginner Series this evening at Full Circle Yoga. Students learn proper alignment in classic yoga postures as well as breathing techniques during this 4-week series. The series price includes a new yoga mat.

Thursday, August 8: Create your own 108 bead mala at Jackie Huberty’s Free Mala Making Workshop this evening at Container Collective Yoga and Bikes. The mala kit can be purchased at the studio.

Friday, August 9: Create a “fire of muscular energy” at Tracy Hamm’s Spanda Session: Core of Steel this evening at Kindness Yoga South Broadway. Move towards your strongest self with active drills and work with partners, props and at the wall.

Saturday, August 10: Check out Wanderlust 108 Denver today and tomorrow at Great Lawn Park. The Wanderlust 108 triathlon includes a 5K run/walk, DJ-fueled yoga, and guided meditation.
